The technology that used Google Nexus 7 tablet device has been disputed by Nokia.
Nexus 7 tablet was launched by Google, week (28.06.2012), as the conference Google I / O. Asus made this tablet that is the first android device that uses OS Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Nokia said the Nexus 7 has been violated or unauthorized use of several technology patents owned by them, which is related from WiFi standard IEEE 802.11 wireless networks.
"Nokia has more than 40 patent licenses, many car vendors (officially) have used it. Both Google and Asus is not registered (eligible) to the licensed to the patent portfolio," said Nokia spokesman, as quoted by The Inquirer.
"The company that licensed the patent portfolio we should have approached us, and register the license," he said.
From the statement above, Nokia probably will not disputed them in court. We hope Nokia will take a peaceful way out by asking Asus or Google to apply for a license or the another worst-way, paying royalties.
Peaceful ways which acted by Nokia because they still don't have any tablet devices that can be the rival for Nexus 7 Tablet. However, these steps could be aimed to make some money from the patents.
Far away from those above reasons, however peaceful steps that has taken by Nokia is a positive step that should be emulated by other major players, such as Google, Apple, and Samsung those always "met" in court-related technology patents.
